Depending on the height of your console table, we recommend that you hang your mirror six to eight inches higher than your table. Depending on the size, this may not be capable but a good thing to keep in mind is that a mirror should be at eye level.

The first place you should start is with the right sized bed. It may be tempting to get updated to that California king, but a large bed can make your room feel cramped, uncomfortable, and not easily navigated. Once a bed is picked, there are some general tips to make your room feel more comfortable. One, purchase nightstands with lower storage and bedside lamps. Two, layer your bed with blankets and pillows to create a luxurious and comfortable looking space. And three, add a rug to section off your bed.

If you have just purchased, or are looking to decorate an etagere or shelf, you may not need to go shopping just yet. Chances are you already have plenty of items around your house, so go looking in your own place and come back with some options. You should have some pieces that would stand out, and plenty of simple pieces to bring balance to the overall style.

An entryway is an important part of a home. It’s your guests first impression. How you decorate an entryway will depend on its size and use. If you have children who love to play in the mud, a rug and a bench with storage for shoes under it is a great tip to keep your entryway clear of shoes. For a larger entryway, or foyer, think of putting a circular table in the center with a nice large vase and some flowers, or a console table on the side with a lamp and a mirror.

Your dining room rug should be four feet longer and wider than your table. That means on each side, there should be about two feet of space so you and your guests can comfortably pull out your chairs without falling off of the carpet. For rectangular tables, get rectangular rugs. For circular tables, get circular rugs.
