Dust the wood regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use a slightly damp soft cloth to clean the surface, and follow with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. Do not saturate the wood, do not use commercial, heavy-duty polishes or waxes, as they can alter finishes, and do not place hot or moist objects on wood. Avoid extreme temperature changes and placing wood near heaters and air conditioning units. This can cause the wood to crack.

As a general rule, our designers recommend that a coffee table be slightly lower than your couch. It should be around two inches shorter than your sofa so you don’t have to reach up, but down when placing things when seated.

There are a few important considerations when choosing a sofa you plan on having for years to come. There are generally three categories. The cushion, the suspension, and the frame. The frame should be kiln-dried, the cushion a mix construction of down feathers and foam, and then suspension, either sinuous spring or eight-way hand-tied.

It is generally accepted that the table should be a shade or two lighter than the finish of your floors.

Warm neutrals are a great way to contrast with the dark floor.
